Tsunami ravages Japan; Hawaii & California affected

An 9.0 earthquake that struck Japan has had a rippling effect causing hundreds of aftershocks and responsible for generating a massive tsunami overpowering the coastal areas of the northeastern parts of the country. Thousands are feared dead with many believing that it will take months if not years to repair the country from this horrific natural disaster.

Tsunami strikes Japan:



The waves swept across the Pacific affecting Hawaii and the west coast including California. Here is video of Hermosa Beach southwest of Los Angeles. The tsunami had dissipated at this point, but rip currents were still an issue.
