A powerful storm system struck moved into the upper Midwest producing an April Tornado Outbreak across Wisconsin with over a dozen confirmed across the state. The strongest twister struck Merrill, Wisconsin with winds packing between 130-140 mph. The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) knowing the threat existed for strong tornadoes had issued most of Wisconsin under a "Particularly Dangerous Situation" Tornado Watch.
Below is amateur video of the large rotating wall cloud looking south from the apparent thunderstorm crossing highway 51 moving east of Merrill. You can clearly see the rotation and how fast the storm was moving. At the end of the video a mutli-vortex tornado is on the ground at the eastern edge of the wall cloud.
Below is additional tornado footage from Merrill, Wisconsin and the its associated damage footage provided by Wisconsin Storm Chaser - Shannon Lupton.
