An isolated thunderstorm developed over Oconomowoc, Wisconsin during the late afternoon hours that produced a copious amounts of rain. Due to weak wind shear and steering flow in the upper atmosphere, the thunderstorm was stationary for over an hour.
The National Weather Service had issued a Flood Advisory for northwestern Waukesha County. Doppler radar indicated rainfall exceeded close to 2.00 inches. The storm eventually dissipated due the weak wind shear in the atmosphere.
